Experience:
Avant Housing is a joint venture of AGI Capital Group and TMG Partners together with the California Public Employees Retirement System [CalPERS]. Able to invest $100 million in equity into urban infill housing in California, we have the ability to develop properties throughout California with an emphasis in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Although Avant wasn't formed until 2006, AGI and TMG began working together in 2003 in the development of Soma Grand, a 246 unit high-rise mixed-use multifamily development in San Francisco. Avant represents more than 40 years of combined real estate experience. True to its belief that having a diversity of backgrounds and ideas will result in superior outcomes, Avant has leveraged the proven track-records of AGI and TMG and benefited from the merger of their residential development resources.
TMG Partners, a privately-held California corporation headquartered in San Francisco, is a full-service real estate development company. TMG focuses exclusively on urban infill projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. Over the last 25 years, TMG has developed approximately 20 million square feet of office, research and development, for-sale and multi-family residential and retail projects, and more than 400 acres of land, with a portfolio valuation in excess of $3 billion. Over the last several years, the San Francisco Business Times has ranked TMG Partners the #1 Real Estate Developer in the Bay Area.
AGI is one of San Francisco's largest minority owned residential real estate development and investment companies whose ten-year business model has been to identify undervalued real estate opportunities in transitional markets and develop such assets to their full economic potential. Since its founding in 1998, AGI has successfully overseen real estate projects throughout the Greater Bay Area with a total market value in excess of $600 Million. In such period, AGI has received many accolades and honors, including being named on the San Francisco Business Times Top 100 Women Owned Business list.
